We don’t have all of the answers regarding the FDA’s impending ban on flavored vape pods but we do know some specifics and we at Smoke Hut smoke and vape shop are busy trying to find out all of the information we can so that we can pass it along to our customers.
Vape Pods and Vaporizer Shops in Kansas City, Belton and Raymore,MO
What we do know for sure is that on February 1st, 2020, we will no longer be able to sell flavored vape pods at our smoke and vape shop. However, there are exceptions to this rule as the FDA has opted not to include tobacco and menthol flavored pods in the ban. Why? The reasoning isn’t clear but many speculate that the FDA believes that tobacco and menthol flavors could potentially help smokers kick the smoking habit but we aren’t 100% sure. We will continue to stock tobacco and menthol flavored pods for all types of vaping devices but others will not be sold after the close of business January 31st, 2020. We have been asked about flavored vape liquids being banned and, as we understand it, they will NOT be part of the ban. Keep in mind that these types of vape liquids are used with open tank vaping devices or mods which are also not included in the ban. What we are not completely certain of is whether flavored disposable pods will be part of the ban or not as the wording provided by the FDA is not clear. On the one hand it states that all flavored “pods” are part of the ban but on the other hand they state that disposable vaping devices are excluded. We have reached out directly to the FDA for clarification and will certainly post this information once we have it for our customers. In the meantime, if you plan on stocking up on flavored vape pods, you probably need to come by our smoke and vape shop soon as our supplies are low and we won’t be ordering any more. Smoke Hut smoke and vape shop is open daily from 9 am to 9 pm and located just off of 71 Highway and Blue Ridge Boulevard. Check back for updates!
